I consider myself a statistician by profession. I started learning statistics since \(2008\) while majoring in Statistics for my undergrad degree. Later, I did my masters in applied statistics, and currently, am a PhD candidate in Statistics at North Carolina State University. I grew up in a rural area of Bangladesh, a south-east Asian country. My research focuses on data comes as medical images and next-generation sequencing. Primarily, I use functional data methods to solve research interest. Besides I have keen interest in analyzing spatial, longitudinal and survival data. I have experience of practicing statistics since \(2012\).

Currently, I am working on developing methods for cancer detection on histology images, supervised dimention reduction gut microbiome data, and differential expression analysis from single-cell RNA sequence data. My past research works include analysis of disease and environmental data. As statistical software, I use R mostly, however, have expertise in working with several programming languages; Python, SAS, Stata, SAS, Matlab, JMP and Julia. For document processing, I write in Latex, however, have profound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

I want to build a career in a research environment and to devote my knowledge and experiences in developing statistical methods for dealing with new and emerging real world problems. I possess more than seven years of active teaching experience at university level. Besides that I served as a research mentor and data science consultant. I also have multiple internship experience.

I have strong family value, and love to spend time with my family. Apart from that I love to listen music, watching movies at my leisure time. Having fun with friends and relatives also very interesting to me. In childhood, I used to copy good handwriting, which I consider a fun fact about me.
